Once you make us laugh, it really opens the door to empathy, doesn’t it?
It’s hard to hate…
…be angry with…
someone you’re sharing a laugh with.
Laughter reminds us of the things that connect us.
Maybe we should stop electing clowns to lead us, and appoint comedians instead.
The thing about comedians is that they can share difficult truths in a way that makes us feel better for having heard them.
They are more observant than most of us, seeing and hearing things that others ignore.
Being a good leader is no laughing matter, but it’s best not take yourself too seriously. I’d much prefer to follow someone who can take or tell a joke now and then.
